This tour focuses on some of Valencia’s most ornate historical buildings, a style typical of 17th and 18th century architecture. We visit the beautifully restored Palace of the Marquis of ‘Dos Aguas’, which also houses the national ceramics museum with ceramic artifacts dating from prehistoric times all the way to Picasso.
As we walk through Valencia’s historical center, you will see other examples of the breadth and power of noble money. In a time when many Spanish and Europeans were struggling to survive, many families still left no hallway of their own undercoated in splendor. Depending on the desired length of your tour, we can also arrange a visit into the Museum of Fine Arts, which showcases paintings from the Baroque period, among many other things.
