If you are only here for one day and just love the country-side, mountains or quainter than city experiences, then choose this tour to get the Highlights of Valencia, as well as an off-the-beaten-path side of our Valencian surroundings.

In Valencia, you will see the panoramic view by car with stops at some of the highlights such and be able to tick off some of Valencia’s biggest ‘must-sees’. Depending on which outer area we are combing, we will see the most pertinent of the following: the Giant complex of the City of Arts and Sciences by Valencia’s own Santiago Calatrava, a portion of the pedestrian historical center with its Roman remains, the cathedral and other important churches, our main plazas, the central market, depending on timings. Other sites we can pass by, again depending on your choice of excursion would be the bullring, the modernista style train station, Plaza Ayuntamiento or our geographic heart of the city.

Outside of Valencia, you can choose from our list of excursions (click here for the complete list). Generally the best to combine with the city are: L’Albuferra lagoon and rice paddy region which is a protected wildlife park for over 300 bird species and we can opt for a boat ride on this largest ‘lake’ in Spain. This is only about 20 min. south of the city. Or you can choose to go North to the quaint town of El Puig and visit a 13th century monastery and see a typical ‘white town’ in the hill and see the spot where our famous bat city mascot comes from. Further north, one can choose Roman and Jewish Sagunto, which is a fabulous hidden gem with a great wealth of history from the start of the Second Punic War to the medieval times where Dukes and rich Jewish merchants still lived side by side.

On any full-day route, one needs to stop for a bite and you can decide if you’d like a lighter and quicker stop or if you’d like to get more into the Spanish lifestyle and have an authentic rice dish, such as the Valencian paella or any other of our rice specialties here with excellent quality and price ratio. You can choose to have your guide join you for lunch or to pick you up afterwards, depending on your wishes. If you are a true ‘foodie’ and would like a Michelin Star restaurant experience, your guide can make the reservation for you in one of our four Michelin* restaurants and leave you there for a delightfully affordable Michelin experience.
